The Stelvio National Park

The Val di Rabbi hosts in a large part of its territory on the Stelvio National Park.

Founded in 1925 and divided between Trentino, South Tyrol and Lombardy, the Stelvio National Park is one of the natural contexts most pristine national level.

Inside the park there are many protected species, such as deer and roe deer, but also the eagle and the bearded vulture many others .. But do not forget the marmot, alpine rodent characteristic which is very frequent to encounter in their hiking in the mountains, to which we have become very fond of!

Many animal species are an ideal habitat in the Stelvio National Park: from the great ungulates (deer, roe deer, chamois and ibex) to foxes, from squirrels to stoats, from grouse to the majestic eagles.

An important feature of the Stelvio National Park is the presence, within its territory, many inhabited settlements, from rustic huts scattered on the mountains to the countries in the valley, many of them restored and perfectly integrated into the surrounding mountain
